Corn Nut Creek Song (D.Vita and T.Bradley) Banjo low and fiddle high Mama’s baking key lime pie Kick your boots off, dip your feet Into the Corn Nut Creek Got one baby on your knee Sittin’ by the old gum tree Children scream and children play I wish that we could stay Turn the crank and knead the dough Dropping flour as we go Golden biscuits, apple pie Pasta hung to dry Cross the ocean far and wide Ferry to the other side Climb that mountain to the top Make the donkey stop! Banjo low and fiddle high Mama’s baking key lime pie Kick your boots off, dip your feet Into the Corn Nut Creek

Home on earth (T.Bradley) Summer sends her spinning round Feathered feet don't touch the ground Eyes lift up to the sky Garden waiting for the rain Time to board a paper train Pleasing people leaves her dry Autumn leaves forget to fall Flying high above it all Barely time to pull the weeds Tired lines around her eyes Needs no-one to sympathize All she really wants is sleep Deep deep down in the ground Shaken by a low sound Earth under feet She’s going deeper down Deep deep down in the ground Thumping like a heartbeat Earth under feet She’s going deeper down Winter comes on cold and wet Bringing pain and past regrets She retreats into her nest Frost descends upon her yard Self esteem in bitter shards Slips away into her rest Finally then comes the spring And the chance to plant again She emerges into light Red and yellow, purple, green She will let herself be seen Fearless bird in full flight Deep deep down in the ground Shaken by a low sound Earth under feet She’s going deeper down… Deep deep down in the ground Thumping like a heartbeat Earth under feet She’s going deeper down Deep deep down in the ground Shaken by a low sound Earth under feet She’s going deeper down… Deep deep down in the ground Thumping like a heartbeat Earth under feet She’s going deeper down

Call my name a thousand times I will still come running to you Whatever you need I’ll give it to you Ask me no questions, dear You don’t need to try at all I couldn’t ever give up on you Sometimes you look for me For a moment I’m gone Tucked in a tent, hiding in bed Walking down that lonesome road That leads me back to you Want to run away from you Darling only for a little while Give me the space to realise I miss you When I’m right beside you love I will give you all of my time Don’t want to miss a moment of you Sometimes you look for me For a moment I’m gone Tucked in a tent, hiding in bed Walking down that lonesome road That leads me back to you Sometimes you look for me For a moment I’m gone Tucked in a tent, hiding in bed Walking down that lonesome road That leads me back to you

I’ve always known the sun will rise With purple skies and babies’ cries Gentle fingers pull and clutch Pining for their mother's touch Singing and singing low As our children come and go Birds will fly when their life starts As it breaks their mother’s hearts I promise not to see the leaves that fall again so soon The chill that starts to sting the air on autumn afternoons Flocks of birds come and go on foreign roads I’ve come to know The tides they change and the cold winds blow and you miss my children grow I hear your voice inside the wind I know the pain you’re living in What I’ve done to you, it hurts me too Three hundred days to struggle through Sun sets on another day I miss you in the strangest way We’ve still got time, waiting now I’m coming home but I don’t know how I promise not to see the leaves that fall again so soon The chill that starts to sting the air on autumn afternoons Flocks of birds come and go on foreign roads I’ve come to know The tides they change and the cold winds blow and you miss my children grow Will they forget what used to be The way you you wrapped their bloodied knees They have to learn to understand The absence of your loving hands Like beads of sand time slips away The sunset arks the end of day I watch the towering tall trees stand With silver strands and weathered hands I promise not to see the leaves that fall again so soon The chill that starts to sting the air on autumn afternoons Flocks of birds come and go on foreign roads I’ve come to know The tides they change and the cold winds blow and you miss my children grow

Limbs 03:44
If I put my heart away In a box, put it there to stay Would it be easier to find A way to ease my mind If I covered up my eyes With a mask, would you realise That I can still see you I see everything you do My limbs are left behind Deafening silence that leaves me blind I can't feel a thing, but you're still On my mind If I had no legs at all Could I reach, reach you standing tall Wrap me in your painted arms And lavender-stained palms If I shed all of my skin To reveal my soul within Would we melt and become one Slip away to come undone My limbs are left behind Deafening silence that leaves me blind I can't feel a thing, but you're still On my mind

I choose You 03:06
It started with an embrace We could not let go Our hearts began to dance then Like puppets in a show We bought a car in England Camped in pouring rain We rode a bike through India We surely were insane Moment to moment, day by day Every time I look at you My soul comes out to play We lived in a tiny city flat We worked hard to play Spent so much time inside with you I’d still choose you every day Now life is quiet and not so wild We made two kids and they’re divine I wouldn’t change a single thing I’d still choose you every time Days are long and it all feels hard Our love shines like a star Moment to moment, day by day Every time I look at you Moment to moment, day by day Every time I look at you Moment to moment, day by day Every time I look at you My soul comes out to play

Once Again 03:08
That box stays closed The one with the records inside Every time one plays Gates open to the long days I cried Ten years ago and still Listening pins me down to a flame His voice singin’ soulful croons Brings the bitter sting of pain and shame Forever came to a halting end Then we both found shelter again Once again, once again Straight into my flesh Strummed strings cut with a melancholic lilt Pieces of who I was Steeped in broken promises and guilt Harmonic humiliation Spin me round for everyone to see His lyrics mock me They once were my reality Forever came to a halting end Then we both found shelter again Once again, once again Tuck it back away Or maybe just right my wrongs I might have to face this today Cause have to keep singing all my favorite songs Forever came to a halting end Then we both found shelter again Once again, once again Once again, once again

There’s something that I need to know How is it that my garden grows Dig the dirt and hope to find All the years I left behind Sending out a message to you Blowing red dust across the trails of truth Listen to my silent ode Let it reach your lonely desert road When the cold winds come let the dancing fire in Every day has haunting dreams Roses blooming, home again This bed of vines I lie within Gripping, growing round my skin Why do you shut the door On everything you were before You rip the roots that come and go Your barren land where nothing grows Sending out a message to you Blowing red dust across the trails of truth Listen to my silent ode Let it reach your lonely desert road When the cold winds come let the dancing fire in Think of me when sirens sound Hopeless withered on the ground They’ll always be this glowing blaze Forgive me for my cruel, cruel ways Sending out a message to you Blowing red dust across the trails of truth Listen to my silent ode Let it reach your lonely desert road When the cold winds come let the dancing fire in Sending out a message to you Blowing red dust across the trails of truth Listen to my silent ode Let it reach your lonely desert road When the cold winds come let the dancing fire in When the cold winds come let the dancing fire in

It doesn't hurt me Do you wanna feel how it feels Do you wanna know, know that it doesn't hurt me Wanna hear about the deal that I'm making You, it's you and me If I only could Make a deal with God Get him to swap our places Be running up that road Running up that hill Running up that building Don't want to hurt me See how deep the bullet lies Unaware I'm tearing you asunder Ooh, there is thunder in our hearts Is there so much hate for the ones we love Tell me we both matter now, don't we You, you and me It's you, you and me won't be unhappy Come on, baby Come on, darling Let me steal this moment from you now Come on, angel Come on, come on, darling Let's exchange the experience If I only could Make a deal with God get him to swap our places Be running up that road Running up that hill Running up that building If I only could Make a deal with God get him to swap our places Be running up that road Running up that hill Running up that building If I only could Make a deal with God get him to swap our places Be running up that road Running up that hill With no problems

I can’t see past the mist today The rain falls in a peaceful way Travelling to Eagle Rock A secret door that I keep locked I’m thankful for the bottlebrush Time in places I won’t rush The streams that run across my toes They flow to places no one knows Waving branches of the farewell tree Sending larks to serenade me All alone on this path you’re leading Take a sip from this soul you’re feeding You should’ve said goodbye You are the sea and the pines and I wish you were mine I see you in this misty blue And every place I travel to Green eyes frozen in my mind Circling fools gold all this time Waving branches of the farewell tree Sending larks to serenade me All alone on this path you’re leading Take a sip from this soul you’re feeding You should’ve said goodbye You are the sea and the pines and I wish you were mine

about

Corn Nut Creek’s much anticipated album ‘Hearts in Bloom’, is a storyteller’s account of blossoming to reveal one’s true self.

Through a lush tapestry of vocal colours and instrumental textures, the songs on ‘Hearts in Bloom’ explore the divinity within the natural world and our unique connection to it with themes that celebrate transformation, resilience and self-acceptance. The album includes a collection of nine original songs, paired with a wild re-imagination of Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill.
